Bouquet Ideas for Weddings
A beautiful bouquet of flowers has the power to transform the look and feel of your wedding dress and wedding day. Since there are so many different types of flowers, colours and themes to choose from – such as rustic bouquets to elegant roses and everything in between, we’ve narrowed it down to a collection of 5 flower arrangements that we think make beautiful bouquets for brides. We’ve included a range of high-end to budget friendly ideas too.

1. Graceful calla lilies

An elegant flower, calla lilies are trumpet-shaped that work as part of a bouquet of different flowers or equally well when used as standalone. They’re typically available all year round, and most florists can obtain them at any time. This means no matter what season your wedding is in; calla lilies can be a part of your bouquet if you so wish. We love them in simple white, wrapped in a white ribbon at the stems. Effortlessly chic.

2. Pretty peonies

Pretty peonies represent a happy marriage and good health, so that’s what makes them one of our favourite choices for a wedding bouquet. In recent times, they’ve become increasingly Instagramable too. From the traditional peony to the rustic wild peony, and the Chinese peony, you're sure to find a bloom that'll complement your wedding theme. They look fabulous on their own but can equally be paired with many other flowers to bring a pop of colour and bulbous texture. You can simply add a few peonies to some budget friendly flowers such as baby's breath that will give you an upgraded bouquet.

3. Cheerful sunflowers

Perfect for creating a rustic look, sunflowers symbolise happiness and are great for summer weddings. The bold yellow hue looks great against a white or ivory dress. Try teaming yours with contrasting pink roses for a bright bouquet that stands out in photos.

4. Bountiful hydrangeas

Usually more affordable than your usual wedding flower choices such as roses or lilies, hydrangeas are a blooming style with lots of petals and many colours to choose from. Try teaming with some fragrant eucalyptus stems to create a stunning bridal bouquet that won’t blow the wedding budget.

5. Darling dahlias

Exquisitely formed, dahlias have many petals in a circular structure and come in many colour variations such as peach, red, lavender, white, yellow, orange, and pink. They represent gratitude and complement other flowers such as roses, sweet peas and baby’s breath.
To conclude, when choosing your bridal bouquet, we recommend sticking to seasonal blooms if you can. Not only will these flowers be at their most beautiful and also less expensive.

After your big day comes to an end, many brides wonder what to do with their bouquet. We suggest preserving them by drying them and then pressing them into a glass frame. It’s a lovely keepsake from your special day and looks beautiful when hung on the wall.
Let’s finish with a wonderful Japanese proverb taken from a @countrylivinguk article.

“Happiness is to hold flowers in both hands.”
